About Blogging

So, proper blog etiquette is to never, ever apologize for not blogging. Here’s me not apologizing. I realize probably no one reads this (it was more of a venting and sharing of general information place for me last year), so to apologize to readers out there would be seriously over inflating my sense of importance and significance in this world, which we all realize is miniscule.
Nonetheless, I like keeping track of what’s going on, and what I’ve been trying to do is transition away from paper notebooks (of which I keep about a million) strictly to a iPad based system. That’s why I bought it, right?
I’ve started by using the app Evernote as much as I can, and am in the process of looking for a really good diary/journal app as well so I can record thoughts, ideas, feelings, etc.. So if you know of any, please share!!
Michael and I are in the process of growing… in so many ways! Professionally, we’re stretching ourselves and our skills to try to work together… NOT easy at all because we come from COMPLETELY different styles and tastes. But instead of looking at it as a detractor or a disadvantage of working together, I want to look at it as having twice as much to offer our clients… we have my style, which is decidedly more feminine and romantic, and his, which is more modern and cool. Everyone gets a little part of both of us in their photo sessions. We’re learning, sharing, and loving it!
I am also stretching my writing abilities to try and help him pursue his dreams of filmmaking. I sort of wrote a little story as an idea, and we have a couple other ideas we are hammering out to hopefully shoot a couple of short films sometime this year.
I bought a new, more advanced camera, so we’re in the process of investing in lenses also.
Sometimes getting everything down on paper really reminds me of how great our life is and how blessed we are. It reminds me also of how far we have to go but how much I appreciate how far we’ve come as well.
::Whew!::
So, there’s my midyear update… Where are you?
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6
